Ms. Philippa Samson

Philippa Samson has spent a large portion of her career in the banking sector and has worked in various departments in many banks. Five years ago she switched to the transport sector and she is currently employed by the Seychelles Ports Authority, overseeing the project to redevelop the Commercial Port at Mahe Quay. Miss Samson is also a general business and information security consultant on a part-time basis.

Miss Samson’s depth and breadth of experience in the banking sector has proven invaluable when assessing DBS’s riskier loan proposals and business development opportunities. Her experience with the implementation of complex banking systems proved useful in the preparatory works to procure a new core banking system.

Philippa Samson holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Lancaster University in Management Science and Computer Science, with Accounting & Finance as a minor subject. She also earned a Chartered Bank Master of Business Administration with distinction from the University of Bangor and is a member of the Chartered Banker Institute.
