Head of Finance

The Head of Finance will be accountable for strategy development, planning, operational, management and administrative responsibilities with the main duties to:

  • Oversee the Finance department team including coaching and developing employees and teams for a more effective skill-set and work environment
  • Identify patterns in company spending and revenue; create and propose solutions to any problem areas to management
  • Collaborate with other Heads of Department about budget, capital expenditure and investment opportunity
  • Oversee business financial management and ascertain areas which need improvement
  • Create long-term finance department strategic plans which align with company’s strategic plan and business plan
  • Manage all financial aspects of the company including bank overall budget
  • Work closely with Internal and external auditors to ensure approved policies and applicable accounting principles are being adhered to and provide support to annual financial audits
  • Ensure that all financial transactions being applied by the department are in conformity with the DBS Act and relevant Regulations
  • Be part on Senior Management Team and serve on Credit Committee meeting, Debt Collection and Recovery Committee meeting, Asset and Liability Committee meeting and other relevant Committees
  • See to the proper maintenance of all account held in the Bank’s accounting system.
  • Manage the banks’ procurement procedures and ensure it is in line with procurement regulations.

Qualifications/Competencies /Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Finance, or Banking or Accounting or Business Studies with five years’ work experience at management level or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting plus five years’ experience; or
  • ACCA professional accounting certification with five years or
  • Any equivalent management, corporate or leadership training program
  • Previous Experience in Banking or Business Finance
  • Detail-Oriented, Exceptional Leadership Skills, Strong Written and Verbal Communication, Team Management Skills and Project Management Skills
