DBS presented to the Seychelles Institute of Agriculture and Horticulture with a donation of IT equipment worth SCR 34,000/-
DBS celebrated its 45th Anniversary, In February 2023, and as part of its ongoing celebration, a donation worth SCR 34,000/- of IT equipment, namely, projectors and laptops were presented to the Seychelles Institute of Agriculture and Horticulture. The CEO, Ms. Preira, handed over the equipment to Ms. Marie in a short presentation held at the Seychelles Institute of Agriculture and Horticulture (SIAH) at Grand Anse, Mahe. In attendance for the donation was a group of DBS officers, SIAH learners, and lecturers.
According to DBS CEO, Ms. Preira, DBS has been a long-term partner in promoting and supporting sustainable development and learning. This action is not only part of DBS’s Corporate Social Responsibility but also demonstrates DBS’s dedication to supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goal 2 which supports food security, improved nutrition, and sustainable agricultural practices, and Goal 4, which promotes lifelong education for all.
“DBS’ donation to the Seychelles Institute of Agriculture and Horticulture is a sign of respect toward your chosen professions. We hope that this equipment will greatly facilitate your studies. We look forward to your invaluable contribution towards the country’s objective of attaining food security,” said Ms. Preira.
On her part, Ms. Marie thanked DBS for this donation and said that has come at an opportune time when the Institute is finding modern style and equipment to improve the learners training and learning methods.
“SIAH has been blessed by DBS in the past, this is the second time that DBS has chosen to assist us, and we pray that this shall surely continue,” said Ms. Marie.
