Career
Roy Charlette is a dedicated and hard-working employee at the Development Bank of Seychelles, currently Heading the HR & Administration Department. Assisted by a dedicated workforce of twelve, his main task within the HR function core activities ensures Organizational Construction (Enforcement of DBS Purpose/Mission/Strategies, Organizational Structure Design and maintenance, Job Evaluation process, Manpower Planning process, Succession Planning process, Development & Maintenance of HR Policies and Procedures [Terms & Conditions of Service], Payroll management among others), Employees Resourcing & onboarding management, (from recruitment until post confirmation), Employee life cycle management (performance management/career development) and Employees outbound management. The position also holds responsibility for the Administration management of DBS.
Experience
Mr. Charlette has thirty-two years of loyal working experience at the Development Bank of Seychelles. He was initially attracted to the position of Credit Officer, given that in his own words, ‘every project is unique since every promoter has different ways of doing their businesses and this is an exciting and new learning experience every time there is a project, even if the project may be the same’. He has worked in various departments within 32 years, namely Finance, Credit, Collection and recovery, and finally, HR & Administration where he now heads the latter.
Qualifications
Roy Charlette currently holds a master’s in business administration (MBA) and has participated in several executive leadership programs at renowned institutions, both locally and internationally.
